- Recognizing the need to take action on environmental issnes as a natural mission of the company, Taiho Pharmaceutical works proactively to protect the environment and reduce environmental impact in all of its business activities, from research and development to production, distribution, marketing, and disposal.
Striving to Become a Leading Specialist in Oncology and OTC Drugs
Since its founding in 1963, Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has carried out research and development of innovative pharmaceuticals in line with its company principle, “We will help to further human health and create a fulfilling society.”
In the area of prescription drugs, we have given the world such agents as UFT Capsule, TS-1 Capsule, Uzel Tablet, and other anticancer drugs that originated in Japan. Backed by the evidence-based efficacy of these agents, Taiho Pharmaceutical has won high acclaim in and outside Japan as a leading company in the field of cancer treatments. Outside the field of oncology, we introduced the urinary incontinence/frequency agent BUP-4 Tablet, the antiallergy drug IPD Capsule, and other products that help to improve quality of life. Going forward, we will continue to invest aggressively in the discovery and post-marketing development of pharmaceuticals that deliver high levels of satisfaction to patients and healthcare professionals.
In the area of OTC drugs, we prioritize customer oriented activity and aim to support energetic lifestyles through unique, quality products such as nutrient tonic Tiovita Drink, gastrointestinal remedy Solmack, and incontinence remedy Harncare. We will continue striving to help improve quality of life (QOL) by developing products that quickly fulfill needs in today’s aging society.
