Recognizing the need to take action on environmental issues as a natural mission of the company, Taiho Pharmaceutical works proactively to protect the environment and reduce environmental impact in all of its business activities, from research and development to production, distribution, marketing, and disposal.

and to contribute to the happiness and health of people worldwide

Since its founding in 1963, Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has carried out research and development of innovative pharmaceuticals in line with its company principle, "We strive to improve human health And contribute to the enrichment of society."

In the area of prescription drugs, we have given the world such agents as UFT , TS-1 , Uzel, Aloxi, Abraxane, and other anticancer drugs. Backed by the evidence-based efficacy of these agents, Taiho Pharmaceutical has won high acclaim in and outside Japan as a leading company in the field of cancer treatments. Outside the field of oncology, we introduced the urinary incontinence/frequency agent BUP-4, the antiallergy drug IPD , and other products that help to improve quality of life. Going forward, we will continue to invest aggressively in the discovery and post-marketing development of pharmaceuticals that deliver high levels of satisfaction to patients and medical care professionals.

In the area of over-the-counter drugs, we prioritize customer oriented activity and aim to support energetic lifestyles through unique, quality brands such as the nutrient tonic Tiovita, the gastrointestinal remedy Solmack, and the incontinence remedy Harncare.

As part of its commitment to CSR, Taiho Pharmaceutical considers the environment a priority issue for management and is working to reduce its CO2 emissions and to address other environmental concerns. Furthermore, Taiho proactively communicates with stakeholders in and outside the company, including through open lectures for citizens and pink ribbon campaigns, in an effort to support cancer patients.

At the same time, we are pursuing the development of human resources and fostering a bright, progressive, lively corporate culture, aiming to become an even better company by helping each individual member of our team grow and improve. As part of this effort, in fiscal 2010 we began the Mirai Juku, a selective training program.
