Health Management

In order to realize this corporate philosophy, we pledge to further enhance workplace environments across our entire organization so that employees can work with even more freedom and energy in good physical and mental health. We will do this by supporting the physical and mental health of all employees.

In February 2017, Taiho Pharmaceutical announced a Health Pledge.

Taiho Pharmaceutical believes that when each employee respects the differences and backgrounds of others, works with freedom and energy, and enjoys good physical and mental health, it enhances organizational strength. This leads to improvements in productivity and performance, generates innovation, and enables our ability to contribute to the society. This is why the whole company is united in conducting company-wide efforts to promote health. Until now, we have engaged in various activities to help employees understand the benefits of good health, learn ways to prevent diseases, while actively maintaining and enhancing one’s health. These include mental health education, promoting comprehensive medical check-ups, and follow-up measures after health examinations (encouraging consultations, determining work limitation classifications, and providing health guidance).
In recognition of these activities, Taiho Pharmaceutical was certified as a “Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization (White 500),” selected jointly by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council), in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 (certified as Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization in 2020). We have created a strategic map for various health management measures, in tandem with verifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
