Taiho Pharmaceutical Releases Second Product under the Pitas Brand Pitas Cough Troche for Coughs and Phlegm, a Sticker-type Troche Helpful in Business Meetings
Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced today that it has launched Pitas Cough Troche (second-class OTC drug), a film-type troche that sticks to the roof of the mouth, throughout Japan.
In October 2017, Taiho Pharmaceutical launched Pitas Sore Throat Troche (designated quasi-drug), which is effective for sore and swollen throats. Pitas Cough Troche is the second item under the Pitas brand, which uses the same film-type features and contains active ingredients effective for suppressing and reducing cough and phlegm.
Pitas Cough Troche is preferable to cough drops and masks, which are hard to use in scenarios where face-to-face communication is important, such as in business meetings and when communicating with customers. It is a thin film-type formulation that can be used while talking without being noticed by other people, making it easy to use even on important business occasions. In addition, the slim package makes it convenient to carry discreetly and readily, fitting into a business card case or commuter-pass holder.
